Snowfall Photoshoot.

I am now back on my college campus (thank goodness) and one of the first things we did was have a 'photo shoot' in the recently fallen snow. It was a light snow fall, around 3 inches or so.
If you have read my previous post about snow, you should know that I am OBSESSED with snow! I love it, where as a lot of people do not care for it at all. Oh well, it's their loss.
Anyways, here are a few shots from our snowy adventure.

Decorating the Dorm

Since it is that time of year I decided to decorate my dorm. Now grant it, I am limited on space but I feel that I made due with what I had. Hung some lights as well as my stocking above my bed. I even found a small light up tree that is sitting atop my desk. I also found some small ornaments to had on it. I recently purchased a red scarf and I only got to wear it once because it is now wrapped around the bottom of the tree for a realistic Christmas tree feel. Lastly I found some cute snowflakes and put them across the top of my desk to give it some winter wonderland teasing (because that last time it snowed was October, and I have yet to see another flake.)
I also decorated the boys dorms. They chose colored lights and some garland. The lights are still up but unfortunately the garland was to have and fell in the midst of them sleeping. Needless to say it was quite upsetting when they awoken. Okay, maybe they didn't say those exact words, but I know that's how they felt deep deep down.
As much decorating as I did nothing can actually compare to decorating a real home. But I guess for this year and the next three years I will have to make due with the substitution of decorating a dorm.

October Snow.

Oh, sorry about not blogging 'Everyday'. I've realized it's hard to do being a full time design college student as well as balancing social time. I try my best though.

I have news! For the first time (that I can recall) it snowed in October. Not a few flurries, but a substantial amount of snow; enough to create a blanket over my campus. It was quite remarkable because the leaves are still turning colors and have yet to fall. There was a nice contrast between the vibrant leaves and the sparkling white snow. It was certainly a first for me.
Also during the day of the storm we had our last home college football game. It was ridiculous! Hardly any students went. I ended up forcing one of my friends to come with me to the game, for you see, I love the snow and do not allow it from stopping me to do what I want. Besides "amazing things happen when it snows", quoted by Lorelei Gilmore.

Sorry for the mediocre photos, I didn't want to take my good camera out in the snow.

Patiently Waiting.

It is said that we will be receiving the first snowfall of the season in a few moments. So, I am patiently sitting here, looking out the window at my surroundings, waiting to see the first snowflake fall. We are expected to get anywhere from 2-4 inches which I doubt, but I am willing to take anything I can get. I'll be happy if we even get one inch.
Which brings me to another scenario; marriage, or at least becoming engaged. A while back I started having this idea that if a guy would ever want to marry me the engagement ring would have to compose the form of a snowflake. Reason being is that I love the snow and quoting Lorelei Gilmore from Gilmore Girls "amazing things happen when it snows." This is completely true. I can't depict any specific example but great things always happen to me during the snowy wintery months.
So, here I sit. Patiently waiting for the first snowfall, as well as my future husband to pop the question with the perfect ring. Either way "amazing things happen when it snows."
